Standards Tracking Chart

The Standards Development Tracking Chart conveys the status of each standard in its revision cycle, indicating which ones are open and at which point they are in the process: Revision, Ballot, Precanvass, Canvass, BSR8, BSR9 and publication date. It also denotes when a standard will need to be opened for revision.

BHMA® welcomes comments to improve the standards. Where the Tracking Chart indicates that the BSR8 has an open due date, the standard is available for comment, under the ANSI process.

Get Certified

Participate in the BHMA® Certification Program by voluntarily submitting a hardware product to independent laboratory testing to confirm that it fully meets the criteria of the appropriate ANSI/BHMA® standard.  This industry-wide certification program does not call for a manufacturer to be a BHMA® member in order to certify its products.
