Expiration Notices for Certified Products

One of the benefits of the newly designed Certified Products Directory (CPD) is the expiration notification function. Manufacturers of certified products will receive notices via email of products that are approaching expiration.

Notification Schedule:

  • Six to twelve months before a submission expires.
    • This email is sent on first day of Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4.
  • Six months before a submission expires.
    • This email is sent on first day of Q1, Q2, Q3 and Q4.
  • Email sent seven days before a submission expires.
  • Email sent the day after a submission expired.

The user that has submitted products for certification will receive expiration notices. In addition, each brand can enter up to two extra email addresses to receive the notices. To view/update the email addresses for your brand, log into your BHMA account and use the following steps:

  1. Click on My Profile > My Organization
  2. Scroll to bottom of the page for additional email address fields
  3. Click “Save Changes” once you have entered the email addresses

IMPORTANT: Manufacturers of BHMA certified products are responsible to maintain the certification of the product by submitting for retesting and recertification every four years. BHMA is not responsible for ensuring that retesting and recertification of certified products are completed in a timely manner.

Get Certified

Participate in the BHMA® Certification Program by voluntarily submitting a hardware product to independent laboratory testing to confirm that it fully meets the criteria of the appropriate ANSI/BHMA® standard.  This industry-wide certification program does not call for a manufacturer to be a BHMA® member in order to certify its products.
