BHMA Issues Revision of Electromagnetic Locks Standard

The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) announces the publication of ANSI/BHMA A156.23 - 2010 American National Standard for Electromagnetic Locks. This product is used in many applications to secure and release doors including access control.

This standard establishes requirements for electromagnetic locks and includes cyclical, dynamic, operational, strength and finish tests. This is a revision to the 2004 standard.
