BHMA to Hold Meeting this June in Baltimore

Topics up for discussion include residential standards and exit devices

NEW YORK, NY (May 10, 2013) – The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) will hold its Summer Technical Committee Week June 18th to 20th in Baltimore, MD at the Hilton Baltimore. Industry leaders will meet to discuss BHMA’s new residential standard program, as well as new and revised BHMA standards.

BHMA’s technical committees will work through a full schedule of meetings including a working session focused on BHMA’s proposed standard to address specifications for reduced energy power operated and manually operated sliding and folding doors.

“The June meeting will also update BHMA members on the outcomes of the 2013 ICC Code Development  hearings held in Dallas in late April,” said Ralph Vasami, BHMA’s Executive Director.  “Strategic and technical team meetings will be able to gauge the progress of our codes initiatives, impacting our industry’s products.”

About BHMA

The Builders Hardware Manufacturers Association (BHMA) is an industry leader in building safety and security. BHMA is the only organization accredited by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI) to develop and maintain performance standards for locks, closers, exit devices and other builders hardware.
